BROWN’S CAMP, OR – A large group of Suzuki enthusiasts descended upon the Tillamook State Forest to once again celebrate their unrivaled passion for Suzuki vehicles and their 4×4 sport. Followers came from as far away as Canada to enjoy the camaraderie, liquid sunshine (rain), and trails that this part of Oregon has to offer during this time of the year. The day started off with a good showing of enthusiasts getting their bearings and grouping up in the Brown’s Camp day use staging area. There were to be three groups this day but due to an unfortunate circumstance many participants broke off into several smaller groups and set out on their own to enjoy the OHV area.

Several enjoyed the difficult terrain that is know as the “Crushers” trail; made all the more difficult due to the rain that was falling. Vehicle carnage was evident even on the less difficult trails as some tested their mettle on trails like Archer’s and Hog’s Back. There were several new faces this year which was very nice to see, some rookies to the sport and some old hats that have just joined us for the first time.

During the course of the day memories were forged and experiences were had of joyous times with friend and family. The trails have been very well managed so we could focus on the other details that make trail riding fun. Like lighthearted heckling and poking fun that always endears people to each other and helps to build the bonds that last a lifetime.

In the afternoon, the groups that could made it back for a steak dinner that we hosted for the participants. Stories of good “wheelin’ fun” wafted in the air as all enjoyed their dinner, recalled the day’s activities, and planned for next year’s gathering.
