4-B Motorsports Build Of Their ZUKIWORLD Challenge Desert Race Truck

Blackfoot, ID – One of the key points of the ZUKIWORLD Challenge desert racing series is to provide an affordable alternative for those that are excited and passionate about racing but may not have the cubic dollars required to compete in most of the current desert racing classes. The 4-B Motorsports team is no stranger to racing with several builds and successful seasons with championships in circle track racing, the team was looking for a venue to expand their racing knowledge and have a little fun along the way. The ZUKIWORLD Challenge offered a framework for the team to build and compete without breaking the bank.
After finding the perfect candidate, a 1995 two door Suzuki Sidekick, the team stripped it of all it’s pedestrian cushion and got it ready to have the safety equipment fabricated and/or installed. Joe from KoopaFab was engaged to build the premium 2″ roll cage and sexy bumpers. He took special care to tie it into the frame and to build some trick seat brackets as well. The safety gear is definitely the most expensive part of this build. The roll cage materials and labor, suspension seats, seat belts, window nets, fire extinguisher, fuel cell, and personal protective gear such as helmet, fire suit, neck brace, and gloves comprise more than 50% of the total price. …but being safe is worth every penny.
With the roll cage, bumpers, and safety gear finished, it was time to install a brand new Calmini 3″ suspension lift and 30″ General Grabber AT tires. Next it was paint touchups, some decals and they were ready for their first race.
